Definition

A moment of sudden revelation or insight; a manifestation of a divine being. In Christian tradition it also refers to the feast marking the revelation of Jesus to the Magi.

From Greek epiphaneia (manifestation), from epiphainein (to reveal), from epi- (on) + phainein (to show).
